A new project started yesterday at Platinum. At 9am the car was a complete car. By 4 pm the car was stripped of its interior, motor, transmission, gas tank and most of its trim. This morning it was loaded and headed to the body shop where it’s rotisserie nut and bolt restoration will begin. This is a very special car that I am excited to restore. This car has an amazing story that I will continue to share as we go along. I have been visiting with the original owner( who still lives in the same house today that he did when he purchased this special car in 1969) and hope to be able to show him this car as it was the day he purchased it in 1969. This is a factory built 427 COPO car that spent all its life in the Kansas City area and a lot of time at the K.C drag strip. Thanks for looking and watch for updates throughout the next year.
